Zawadi Boutique
“Every ecommerce quote in Nairobi arrives as a promise. We built our own shop so a buyer can tap through the finished thing before paying for one.”
The question that ends most first conversations is "can I see one?" Screenshots do not answer it — a buyer deciding whether to spend Ksh 30,000 wants to add something to a cart on their own phone and watch what happens next. Client shops could not fill the gap either: their catalogs, prices and Till numbers are not ours to hand around. So the honest answer was to build a real storefront of our own, stock it properly, and leave it running.
Zawadi Boutique is a Starter Shop, built exactly as a client's would be — no special-cased demo scaffolding. Ten products across clothing, accessories, footwear and electronics, priced Ksh 1,499 to Ksh 12,900, with sale pricing and stock states doing real work rather than sitting in as placeholders. The cart hands off to WhatsApp as a structured order, which is how a Kenyan seller actually closes: the buyer pays by M-Pesa to the seller's own Till, so no gateway holds the money or takes a cut. Merchandising carries the rest — a Friday drops cadence, a free-delivery threshold at Ksh 5,000, and a Made in Kenya line, all sitting in a ticker that doubles as the shop's positioning. Designed at phone width first, then scaled to desktop.
